The classification of the anchor chain（1）

(anchor chain)According to the structure of the chain link, the anchor chain can be divided into study chain and studless chain. The chain link of the anchor chain with a stop is provided with a rung. When the size and material are the same, the strength of the chain with a stop is greater than that without a stop, the deformation is small, and it is not easy to twist when stacking. It is widely used by modern large and medium-sized ships. The chain link of unstopped anchor chain has no rung and is only used for small ships. According to the specification, when the diameter of the anchor chain provided as required does not exceed 17mm, it can be replaced by unstopped anchor chain with equal test load or steel wire rope or fiber rope with equal breaking load.

Anchor chains are divided into cast steel anchor chain, electric welding anchor chain and forged anchor chain according to their manufacturing methods. Cast steel anchor chain has high strength, good rigidity, small deformation, wear resistance, the rung is not easy to loosen, long service life, and is suitable for large-scale production. Its disadvantages are complex process, high cost and poor impact resistance. Welded anchor chain is made by bending and welding round steel materials that meet the requirements. It has the advantages of advanced and simple production process, low cost and good quality. Forged anchor chain has good impact toughness, but the manufacturing process is complex, the cost is high and the quality is unstable.
