AS-Schneider entwickelt, fertigt und prüft diese Ventile nach DIN 16271. Die Ausführung mit 1/2 NPT Anschluss und Manometerventile mit Prüfflansch sind in DIN 16271 nicht erfasst. Nach DIN 16271 sind die Ventile bis zu einem maximal zulässigen Druck (PS) von 250 bar (Messing) bzw. 400 bar (Stahl und Edelstahl) und einer maximal zulässigen Temperatur (TS) von 120°C bei Flüssigkeiten, Gasen oder Dämpfen einsetzbar. Die maximal zulässige Temperatur (TS) von 120°C berücksichtigt, dass die Ventile und Messgeräte vor der Erwärmung durch heiße Medien geschützt werden müssen. Dies ist mithilfe von Wassersackrohren oder von ausreichend langen Impulsleitungen möglich. Ventile von AS-Schneider können jedoch bei Temperaturen bis 300°C eingesetzt werden (PTFE bis 232°C, Graphit bis 300°C).
